Add Lovly to your Lock Screen
- Open Lovly once. Open Lovly and make sure you are paired with your partner, so the widget has something to show.
- Touch and hold the Lock Screen. Lock your iPhone, wake the screen, then touch and hold the Lock Screen until Customize appears. Unlock with Face ID if asked.
- Tap Customize, then Lock Screen. Tap Customize at the bottom, then choose the Lock Screen preview on the left.
- Tap the widget row. Tap the row of widgets under the time (or the Add Widgets box).
- Choose Lovly. Scroll the list or search for Lovly, then tap the Canvas widget to see your partner’s latest drawing. Mood, Message, Days Together and Next Event fit here too.
- Tap Done. Close the widget picker and tap Done. Your partner’s next drawing will appear there.
Your partner adds the widget on their own phone too. Then whatever either of you draws shows up on the other’s Lock Screen.
Add Lovly to your Home Screen
- Touch and hold an empty area of your Home Screen until the apps jiggle.
- Tap Edit in the top corner, then Add Widget.
- Search for Lovly.
- Swipe to pick a widget and size — Canvas (small, medium, large), the combined Lovly widget (medium, large), Days Together, Partner’s Mood, Message or Next Event.
- Tap Add Widget, place it, then tap Done.
If the widget does not update
- Open Lovly once. It refreshes the widget straight away.
- Check Low Power Mode. iOS refreshes widgets less often while it is on.
- Check you are paired. In Lovly, Settings shows your partner. If you unpaired, pair again.
- Remove and re-add the widget. This clears a widget iOS has stopped refreshing.
- Restart your iPhone if Lovly was only just installed and is missing from the list.
